Tour Rungis food market, the world’s largest fresh food market, located south of Paris and open only from 2:00 AM until 8:00 AM.
We’ll take you to the 5 distincts markets i.e. SeaFood, Meat, Fruits & Vegetables, Cheeses & Flowers.

This is an insider experience which enables you to discover where the Michelin-Starred Chefs buys their produce.

Rungis is the world’s largest wholesale market for fresh produce.

Fish, meat, fruits, vegetables, cheese and even fresh flowers are sold here every day in quantities so large an entire train station and highway exit has been built to serve it. Being just outside Paris- you can see the Eiffel Tower and the Tour Montparnasse in the horizon – Rungis serves many Parisian restaurants or great standing. The market has distinguishing clients and only the freshest, highest quality products can hope to be sold. This make it a very attractive place to visit for a travelling gourmet. And Rungis works between midnight and 8 AM. Prepare yourself to be surprised during the tour of the market which runs from 3:00 to 8:00.

Highly recommended for foodies.
We decided to do the Rungis market tour. We chose a private tour with Olivier as we dont enjoy large group tours which also only seem to be offered on Fridays.
This gave us flexibility to go any day and we chose Tues because the fish market is closed on mondays.
So the two us us went along with our guide who picked us up from our apartment and we saw the flower market and was able to buy some beautiful flowers. We saw the fish market which was interesting, the fascinating poultry section which was full of unplucked wild birds , eg quails, ducks, guinea fowl etc and lots of other areas like the amazing cheese section etc
Its a huge site so bring good walking shoes . You get picked up at 2am and dropped back at 8 am back to Paris.
Stopped at the markets for a coffee and croissant before coming home
Our guide Olivier was fun and informative on lots of aspects of Parisian life and food!
Highly recommended for foodies.
